Belts and robots · Patch 1.0.4
Moon Sweepers automation guide
Automate after a depot exists, not before. Belts can deliver dust and stone into the intake, and patch 1.0.4 lets J.O.O.N.A.S. clean a hex from the outside in, keep working with nobody nearby, and fire capsules at the nearest catcher. Mergers alternate inputs. The catcher holds 100 kg.
What each piece is for
| Piece | Job | 1.0.4 detail |
|---|---|---|
| Conveyor belt | Move capsules toward the intake | You can place a carried capsule onto a belt where you aim, since 1.0.3 |
| Splitter and merger | Break or join a line | They snap port to port. Mergers alternate. Crewmates can add them to your belt. |
| Packager | Put dust into capsules | The “could not pack a capsule” stall was fixed even when power and materials were fine |
| Capsule catcher | Receive robot capsules | Glass shows the dust. Capacity 100 kg |
| J.O.O.N.A.S. | Clean a sector without a driver | Outside-in hex, 2× cleaning, no dock trip, works off-screen, smarter pathing |
| Deposit intake | Turn dust and stone into pay | Pays the on-screen number as belt loads arrive |
Questions
- When does automation unlock?
- The notes never print an unlock level or a dollar cost for the first belt. They do say you can place splitters, mergers, packagers, and J.O.O.N.A.S., and they describe how those pieces behave after 1.0.4. Read the unlock on your matrix. It is not copied here.
