Moon Sweepers multiplayer not working

Moon Sweepers multiplayer is a host lobby of up to 16 players, not a dedicated server, and the store page lists no cross-play. Everyone needs patch 1.0.4, because saves from that build do not open in older ones. If you were banned, the host clears it under ESC, Your Crew.

Two suits, one lobby. The store lists up to 16 players. There is no dedicated-server flag.

  1. 1
    Match the build

1.0.3 already said the whole crew must be on that version to play together. 1.0.4 adds a harder rule: its saves do not open in older versions.

    Check the host's crew list

ESC, Your Crew. A ban blocks that save only. The host can unban there.

Invite from the host, not from a second menu you hoped was a server

Use the in-game lobby and Steam friends. There is no published dedicated-server toggle.

If the invite never arrives, check the local firewall

Allow Moon Sweepers on the host's private network. This is general Windows practice. The patch notes do not name a port.

Questions

Is there a dedicated server?
Not as a store feature, and not in the 1.0.3 or 1.0.4 notes. Someone has to host. If that person leaves, the session goes with them.
Does cross-play exist?
The store page checked on 26 Oct 2026 lists Windows, online co-op, and no console or cross-play flag.
