AMD · Patch 1.0.4
Moon Sweepers AMD crash fix
On Windows, patch 1.0.4 makes DirectX 11 the default specifically to stop AMD GPU crashes. Leave the launch options empty unless you intend to opt into DirectX 12 with -force-d3d12. The notes do not publish a driver version table for the RX 5000, 6000, or 7000 series.
The official change
The 1.0.4 note is one sentence long, and it is specific: on Windows, DirectX 11 is now the default to prevent AMD GPU crashes. To use DirectX 12, add -force-d3d12 to the Steam launch options. If you added that flag while chasing a different guide, remove it and let the default stand.
- 1Confirm the game is on 1.0.4
The DirectX default ships in that patch. An older build does not have this mitigation.
Official, 1.0.4 - 2Clear Steam launch options
Properties, General, Launch Options. Delete -force-d3d12 unless you are deliberately testing DirectX 12.
Official flag, your choice to remove it - 3Update the AMD driver if the close continues
No Adrenalin version is named in the notes. A current driver is general practice after the official default is in place.

Questions
- Do the RX 5000, 6000, and 7000 need different fixes?
- The patch does not say so. It says DirectX 11 is the Windows default to prevent AMD GPU crashes, and that -force-d3d12 is how you choose DirectX 12. No per-card driver build is listed.
- What are the store graphics requirements?
- Minimum is a GeForce GTX 1650 or Radeon RX 570, 8 GB RAM, DirectX 11. Recommended is a GTX 1660 Super or RX 5600 XT, 16 GB RAM, DirectX 12. Those are store lines, not a promise that DirectX 12 is the stable path on AMD after 1.0.4.
